5th North Devon Scouts

Who are the 5th North Devon Scout Group?

The group re-formed in 1972 and covers a catchment area including Newport, Whiddon Valley, Swimbridge and Bishops Tawton.
We operate from our Scout HQ situated at the base of Codden Hill in Bishop’s Tawton and draw young people from Landkey, Swimbridge, Newport, Whiddon Valley, Bishop’s Tawton, Bratton Fleming and the surrounding areas.

Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart. Through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives.
The Aim of 5th North Devon Scout Group is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
